I
Mission Statement
The encouragement, motivation, and practical teaching strategies you’ll find here are grounded in these core beliefs:
- We believe classroom teachers have a unique and essential expertise that must be centered in discussions about education. Decisions about teaching should not be made without teachers. So, we use our platform to amplify the voices of classroom practitioners.
-
We seek out a diversity of perspectives and honor the wide range of experiences teachers have in K-12 schools. We focus on teachers in the United States, but welcome and learn from the voices of educators around the world. We encourage them to speak openly and transparently about all they are experiencing.

My Vision
Fit-me-In is the first to spearhead a conversation with educators and learners about the value of a genuine inclusive curriculum that recognizes the history and contributions of diverse communities.
I want teachers to be inspired to use the ‘Fit-Me-In’ model to create an inclusive learning environment in their daily planning.

My Story
-I create content and lesson plans for teaching “Africa on the Globe,” with specific emphasis on East Africa. The Fit-Me In model aims to showcase inclusive lesson plans for diverse learners. I advocate for a diverse learning curriculum.
I design social studies content and lesson plans accompanied by teaching materials.
Lesson plans are aligned with national standards, objectives and guidelines to synchronize teaching and learning success for all. Many of the objectives are universal across different countries.
